About Emanuela

My life’s purpose is to bring joy and meaning to people’s lives through the arts.  Creative Wellness helps me do just that.

As a young girl, I was drawn to the arts through classical ballet and piano lessons.  By the time I was a teenager I knew I wanted to make a living in the arts.

After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, I felt a desire to use the arts to help people in some way so I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts through the New School University, studying methods of psychology and drama therapy.

Since moving home to Hamilton, Ontario over a decade ago, I co-founded Flamenquitas Spanish Dance Co. and performed in local theater and films.

In 2008, I began facilitating chair dancing, drama, and music programs for older adults in assisted-living, long-term care, and adult day centres.

While working at Shalom Village in Hamilton, Ontario, I have led residents in creating and performing improvised plays.  I also conduct their Glee Club and write stories and songs with residents.

Because I wanted to learn new ways to engage and connect with people, I took my 200hr Yoga Teacher training with Global Yoga Shala in Brazil in 2014.

Today Creative Wellness is constantly expanding.  We offer an array of private yoga classes, facilitate wellness workshops for care and corporate staff, and even teach preschoolers how to move creatively!

I am forever grateful for the work that I do…
